My love for baking began long before Relesa’s was ever created.
Born and raised in Franklin, Tennessee some of my sweetest memories were made in my grandmother’s kitchen. I can still recall watching her create most desserts from memory, patiently stirring her famous homemade caramel icing while I waited for the spoon and to lick the bowl. I would always tell her, "One day I’m going to make your cakes and sell them."
Every Sunday after church, our family gathered around her table for a home-cooked meal, where homemade blackberry cobblers, chocolate pies, chess pies, and pudding & sauce were made with love. But her caramel cake was something truly special—reserved for family reunions, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Those moments, those recipes, and the love she poured into every dessert became the foundation of the memories I now hope to create for every family I serve.
Another tradition I cherished was visiting the Franklin Fair every April with my dad. Of all the rides, games, and treats, my favorite was always a classic candy apple. Those moments became some of my happiest childhood memories and planted the seed for what would one day become Relesa’s.
Because my birthday falls on Christmas Day, I quickly realized candy apples were nearly impossible to find during the holidays. Instead of giving up, I decided I would learn to make them myself.
In January 2020, I began buying supplies and teaching myself the art of handcrafted candy apples from my grandmother's kitchen. I spent countless hours practicing and learning. All three of my boys encouraged me to keep going. My three sons have always been my greatest inspiration, my strongest motivation, & my
BIGGEST BLESSINGS.
What began as a hobby quickly grew into a passion. Before long, I was sharing my handcrafted creations, including crack grapes and candy apples, throughout my hometown and beyond. The overwhelming love and support from my hometown helped launch Relesa's.
In April 2020, I moved to Georgia but continued traveling back to Franklin, Tennessee, delivering handcrafted desserts and building lasting relationships with loyal clients.
Life brought unexpected challenges, and I had to step away for a season. Even then, my passion for creating beautiful desserts never left me.
Before my grandmother passed, I fulfilled the promise I made as a little girl—I mastered her treasured homemade caramel cake recipe. With her blessing, her guidance, and her heartfelt “yes,” she signed & sealed, the confidence I needed to carry on her legacy.
Today, every caramel cake, every candy apple, every chocolate covered strawberry, and every handcrafted confection I create is a tribute to the incredible woman who inspired me and to the family traditions that shaped who I am. Through Relesa’s, her love, her recipes, and her memory will live on for generations to come.
I am a proud mother, surrounded with love by my three incredible sons, a beautiful granddaughter, and her beautiful mother. Family remains at the heart of everything I do, and some of my greatest joys come from baking, laughing, and creating lasting memories with the people I love.
This journey has never felt like a job—it has always been therapy for my heart. There is something truly special about creating handcrafted confections, like homemade caramel cakes, crack grapes and candy apples, that bring smiles to others while allowing me to do what I love every day.
My dream is to see Relesa's become a household name across America. More than creating desserts, my mission is to craft unforgettable confections that bring people together, celebrate life's special moments, and create memories that last a lifetime.
With God’s guidance, I believe the best chapters of Relesa’s story are still being written.
